BIO

Eclectic, multidisciplinary teaching artist, and poet Tamara G. Saliva is a native New Yorker by way of Brooklyn and now The Bronx. She is the founder & CEO of Simple Treasures Gifts and Things, a published author, and celebrated artist. Tamara uses a variety of materials and mediums to release creative energy and transform her community.

She’s been published in several anthologies including What They Leave Behind: A Latinx Anthology edited by Vanessa Chica Ferreira (2021), Mujeres, The Magic, The Movement and The Muse, Robleswrites Productions Inc. (2017), and she is an integral part of The Abuelas Project, Robleswrites Productions Inc. (2016).

Tamara has performed her poetry on various stages throughout the tri-state area including The Nuyorican Poets Cafe and The National Black Theater. Her deeply personal first book of poetry titled Blue Vein Pages published in 2013 is now available in paperback at Bronx Bound Books.
